  There are many opportunities to give to the work of PNDRI, and many levels of support. Any gift may be made in honor or in memory of a loved one. In addition, gifts may be either unrestricted or designated.

Types of Gifts

Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted giving allows the leadership of PNDRI to direct your gift where it can best address priorities and brings immediate benefits to the Institute as a whole. Naming opportunities are available.
Designated Gifts
You may designate your gift of $1,000 or more to support a special project, new technology, laboratory equipment, operational support, or a specific research study. We can help you find a way to make a gift that is satisfying to you as well as beneficial to PNDRI. Naming opportunities are available.
In Kind Gifts or Gifts of Service
PNDRI accepts donated goods and services that otherwise would have to be purchased. Please contact us if you have goods or services that will benefit the Institute. Some examples of in-kind gifts most frequently needed are:
  • Professional services
  • Print, design and layout services for newsletters, invitations and brochures
  • Gift certificates for merchandise and services
Memorial Gifts
With a gift to PNDRI you can create a lasting tribute in memory of a loved one, ensuring that the person's name is part of the legacy of cutting-edge research at PNDRI. Your gift will be acknowledged with a note sent to the family or friend of the person you wish to remember. A fund will be created in the person's name and will grow over time with each additional gift. When the fund reaches $2,500, the name for whom the gift(s) are given will be permanently listed on the Donor Recognition Wall.
Employer Matching Gifts
You can multiply the impact of your gift if you are an employee or retiree of a business that matches gifts to qualified institutions. Please be sure to check with your company to see if you are eligible and, if so, complete a matching gift form.

Giving Options

Annual Gifts

Gifts to the PNDRI Annual Research Fund are a valuable source of unrestricted support that provides the steady, continuous funding needed to sustain the total research program at PNDRI. PNDRI welcomes gifts of all sizes. Become a member of the Research Fund by giving at one of the following levels:

The President's Circle
The President's Circle recognizes those annual donors who support PNDRI with a yearly gift of $1,000 to $9,999. These gifts, when unrestricted, are directed where they can have the greatest impact and give us flexibility to respond to our most immediate needs.

Major Gifts

Each year individuals, foundations, and corporations support PNDRI research in a variety of ways. With a major gift of $10,000 or more, you have the opportunity to direct your gift as unrestricted to be used for the greatest area of need, toward a research program, or to a personal area of interest in research. With your help, our quality, peer-reviewed research programs are finding the answers to preventing and eventually curing this devastating disease.
The Inner Circle
The PNDRI Inner Circle recognizes our major donors who provide essential financial resources to further the investigations of PNDRI researchers. By making an annual donation of $10,000 or greater, you become a member of The Inner Circle.

Leadership Circle
Gifts of $10,000 or greater may be paid annually for up to five years. Donors in this category will be recognized in a special category called Leadership Circle. These gifts will be recognized in a separate section in the Honor Roll throughout the life of the pledge.

Lifetime Giving
Gifts of $100,000 or more given at one time or cumulative over a lifetime.

Workplace Giving

You can support PNDRI through your workplace United Way, King County Employee Charitable Campaign, or Washington State Combined Fund Drive. We encourage you to give generously through your Workplace Giving campaign.

Planned Gifts

Planned gifts are charitable contributions that require some forethought regarding not only the charitable aspects but also the financial implications for you and your family. Partners in Discovery honors those who notify PNDRI of their intention to make a planned gift; members are recognized on the Donor Recognition Wall and their names are published in the Honor Roll of Donors in the Annual Report.

Endowment Gifts

Endowed gifts are an enduring tribute to the beliefs and values of the donor. Because they may be given for a specific program and named for an honoree of the donor's choosing, they create a lasting, highly visible link between the individual for whom the endowment is named and the ongoing achievements of the program. Endowed gifts of $50,000 or greater are recognized on the Donor Recognition Wall and published in the Honor Roll of Donors in the Annual Report.
