Research Is Hope at Work
Imagine a small research institute in the heart of First Hill working to end one of the greatest health challenges since the plague. A place that prides itself on being small and nimble in order to make health discoveries that could benefit generations of people. We are an institute located within walking distance of Elliott Bay Bookstore but our world-reaching research has impacted those in India, Egypt, Japan, and beyond.
We are the Pacific Northwest Diabetes Research Institute.

Our focus is on research -- fundamental laboratory research at the frontier of scientific knowledge and clinical research that can yield near-term gains in human health -- that will improve prediction, enhance treatment, and someday lead to cures.
