Postdoctoral Fellow Metzger
September 14, 2018
Pacific Northwest Research Institute (PNRI) is seeking a motivated postdoctoral scholar who is passionate about genetics and cancer biology to work in the Metzger laboratory. Dr. Michael Metzger has worked on cancer, viruses, and gene therapy, and is currently investigating the genetics of transmissible cancers in clams and other bivalves.
We are looking for an individual with demonstrated research experience with bioinformatic analysis of high throughput sequence data, including skills such as identification of SNPs from WGS and RNA-seq, identification of structural variation, and phylogenetic analysis. We are especially interested in a candidate with interests in both computational work and bench lab work (such as cell culture and library preparation).
